LATTICE 2012 is back, and it looks to be yet another crazy year. The SEC theme will be more interesting than ever as THE LEAGUE welcoms Texas AandM and Missouri from the BIG 12 to put us at 14 teams. This will add some great games to the weekly slate, meaning we'll likely have more games each week than ever before. We will have 15 participants with a weekly pot of $75. Avery has bowed out, but we welcome Mr T Best to the fray. Without further ado, The Lattice Blog.
Welcome to the SEC Missouri Tigers and Texas AandM Aggies. Looks like you all will fit right in.
How much better can it get ? The 2011 SEC East champs travel to Nashvegas to take on the up and coming Commodores on the ESPN opening game ! Can the Dores keep building on the momentum for last year, or fall back in the gutter of the SEC ? James Franklin is the new hot coach matching wits against the Ol' Ball Coach and a stout defense. You can't ask for a better SEC opener than this.

The showdown at JERRY'S WORLD in Arlington, TX places 2 perennial powerhouses against each other on opening weekend. Will Bama feel the affects of placing half their starters in the draft, or can the young guns waiting in the wings take out Denard Robinson, the most dangerous weapon in college football?

We have one more great match-up opening weekend, with Michigan State hosting the Boise State Broncos. BSU is always willing to play anywhere, anytime to help build their BCS case. Can the Spartans ruin the Broncos title hopes in Week 1, or will BSU send a message that they aren't going away even after losing a ton of talent ? Clearly they still have plenty of that off the field.
