IRON BOWL 2013 Ode to Katherine Webb

The sun shines on the South once again as the best games continue to occur below the Mason-Dixon line. This weekend it all goes down in Auburn, Alabama, as the #4 AUBURN TIGERS host the #1 ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE to decide who has the inside track to the BCS Championship game. This game has it all. Hated rivals, Bad blood, Harvey Updyke + Saban the defensive guru vs. Malzahn the offensive boy wonder.

How crazy is this rivalry? Besides the obvious Updyke poisoning Toomer's Corner, Lynch Toyota of Auburn has offered the crazy promotion yet. If Auburn shuts out Alabama in the game Nov. 30, all the vehicles purchased at Lynch Toyota from Nov. 19 through Nov. 29 will be paid in full by the dealership’s insurance company.

The most underrated part of this whole thing though is the EX-Ms. AJ McCarron KATHERINE WEBB. Webb was a coed at Auburn, but was discovered while dating AJ during last year's BCS title game. She turned her 15 minutes into a career based on her smokin' hotness. A year later they are no longer an item, surprising to no one, but that doesn't take away from how intertwined this rivalry is.

A house truly divided.

The illustrious Mr. Updyke !

1892

What is significant with 1892? That is the inaugural year of the Auburn vs. Georgia Rivalry. That is the Deep South's Oldest college football rivalry. These two teams will face each other for the 117th time as our WEEK 12 LATTICE GAME OF THE WEEK. What is even more astounding is the rivalry record is dead even at 54-54-8!

Clearly these 2 teams have plenty to brag about off the field as well.

Week 10 Lattice - What happened to all the games?

This is the most unassuming Week in the SEC. Only 6 SEC games this week. Due to a busy Saturday schedule, I celebrate BOSTON COLLEGE'S win today over a crumbling VIRGINIA TECH team.
