We had the cream rise to the top of the SEC last week as the EAST has stepped up as the best division within the SEC. SOUTH CAROLINA and FLORIDA flexed some muscle and proved they are the teams to beat not named ALABAMA. Will they have a let down this week ? SC has no choice, since they travel to Death Valley for a night game at LSU. You know the bourbon will be flowing, the fans rowdy, and the swamp voodoo of Baton Rouge will be in the air. Can Spurrier keep his team on course for a SEC Championship ? That is why this is the game of the week.
We also have the Red River Shootout this weekend. OKLAHOMA and TEXAS come in already with 1 loss this year. Not the typical scenario, since this used to determine a possible NCAA Championship berth. It still means alot, and we know the teams fans come to represent.

Can the USC defense contain the explosive UGA offense ? The 3rd wheel of the SEC East, #11 FLORIDA hosts #4 LSU in a major East/West showdown. Can the Tigers bounce back after a few sluggish games, or can FLORIDA just keep on winning? The Gators have more impressive wins so far, but LSU is loaded with talent.
In non-SEC games, #11 TEXAS LONGHORNS host the new kid on the BIG 12 block #8 WEST VIRGINIA. #12 OHIO STATE ( the only legit BIG 10 team, who won't be going bowling) hosts #21 NEBRASKA. These also can have major implications on 2 BCS conferences, and can hint at who might win the league title. Also, Northwestern is freaking ranked, so I had to add a tribute to them. And every week needs some #2 OREGON love.
